Executive Assistant

Location: Pembroke, Ontario

Qualifications

  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in business administration or a related field. 

  2. Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role.

  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  4. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. 

  5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  6. High level of professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 

  7. Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.

Executive Assistant Key Responsibilities 

Executive Support: 

  • Provide high-level administrative support to executives, including managing schedules, arranging meetings, and coordinating travel plans. 

  • Act as a primary point of contact between executives and internal/external stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and excellent communication skills. 

Calendar Management: 

  • Effectively manage and prioritize executive calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, and events. 

  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve them to optimize the executive team's time. 

Meeting Coordination: 

  • Coordinate and prepare materials for meetings, ensuring executives are well-prepared and equipped. 

  • Record and distribute meeting minutes and action items as needed. 

Travel Arrangements: 

  • Arrange complex domestic and international travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, and transportation, while considering preferences and time constraints. 

  • Manage travel expenses and ensure compliance with company policies. 

Communication Management: 

  • Screen and prioritize incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, responding or redirecting as appropriate. 

  • Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence and reports on behalf of executives. 

Confidentiality and Discretion: 

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.

  • Ensure that executive-level matters are treated with a high degree of confidentiality. 

Task Coordination: 

  • Coordinate and oversee special projects, initiatives, and assignments as directed by executives. 

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects. 

Document Management: 

  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems for executive documents and records. 

  • Retrieve and provide requested documents in a timely and efficient manner.

Video Editor

Location: Pembroke, Ontario 

We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The Video Editor will play a crucial role in transforming raw footage into engaging, polished videos, and the ability to bring a unique perspective to our video podcast content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video editing software, excellent storytelling skills, and a passion for crafting compelling video podcast content.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role, with expertise in video podcasting. ● Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. 

  2. Strong understanding of video production techniques, including camera operation, lighting, and sound. 

  3. Creative storytelling skills and a keen eye for detail. 

  4. Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  6. Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.

Portfolio: 

Interested candidates should provide a portfolio or reel showcasing their previous video editing work, with a focus on video podcasting if applicable.

Video Editor Key Responsibilities

Video Editing: 

  • Edit raw footage into cohesive and visually compelling videos, ensuring a high level of quality and creativity. 

  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and enhance video projects. 

Post-Production: 

  • Add visual effects, graphics, and animations to enhance the overall quality of videos. ● Colour correction and grading to achieve a consistent and professional look. 

Podcast Expertise: 

  • Bring a creative perspective to video podcast production, ensuring engaging and visually appealing content. 

  • Integrate audio components seamlessly and optimize video content for podcast platforms. 

Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with the creative team, including producers, directors, and other editors, to bring creative concepts to fruition. 

  • Collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to enhance the visual elements of video podcast episodes. 

File Management: 

  • Organize and manage project files, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-structured for future reference. 

  • Maintain a systematic approach to version control and file naming conventions. 

Technical Proficiency: 

  • Stay updated on the latest video editing software, techniques, and trends. ● Troubleshoot technical issues related to both video and podcast production. 

Project Coordination:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and project requirements. 

  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the editing process. 

Quality Control: 

  • Review final edits to ensure they meet quality standards, including audio clarity, visual continuity, and overall project coherence.
